Soccer and other sport activities

So I finally took rhe plunge and signed Max up for soccer. He picked the sport.  We signed him up for Fall soccer, but practices started in August and it was so hot. We started with practice twice per week. Then when games started we only practiced once per week. Max has loved it so far. He enjoys kicking the ball, but he isn't very competitive when it comes to taking the ball. He's a great team player and always cheers if a friend makes a goal. The boys are so cute. They love practice the must because they get to play together. During games only 3 team members play at a time. They don't keep score, but it's still cute.

Day 1 of practice

First game

They also did swim lessons in July/August. Max learned to swim on his own and he learned better technique. Maddie learned to sink-to-float snd to doggie paddle. She just needs to work on her breathing. Hoping she remembers next summer!!
We tried ballet with Maddie, but she told me she wanted to do gymnastics. So far they have both loved it and are trying out their new techniques anywhere they can. Have I mentioned Max has a black tooth? That's for another blog I guess.

Aggie Game Days!

You guys, I cannot believe it's been almost 2 months since my last blog. I'll blog about why later, lol. Here are some pictures of us during game days. We've loved wearing our maroon and white and cheering for the Aggies! Max yells " touchdown Johnny Manziel!"
This picture is after the Alabama game. Sad we lost, but it was a fun day!

The kids and I before Angela and I went to the season opener against Rice. Hot game, but so much fun!!

Extracurricular activities 2013

The past few weeks have seemed so busy, and they are about to get busier! Maddie started ballet this summer. She loves it!! So we are going to continue during the school year.
How cute is this?
with her teacher
Next we signed up for swim lessons. It's a two week program where they go EVERY DAY!! It's good, but it has been rough having it every day. They are going to miss two days this week because Max is also starting SOCCER. What was I thinking? Well, he asked to play soccer so what are you going to do?? He's excited though. He'll be having practice on Wednesdays and games on Saturdays. As long as it doesn't interfere with Aggie football we are good. :) Oh, and I start working at part time at their school. Whew, it hasn't even started and I'm exhausted!

Maddie's 3rd birthday/pachanga week!

Maddie entered this world 3 years ago, eight days before my birthday. Ever since then it's been party central every July. This year was probably the biggest birthday week ever because we had so much going on. We traveled to College Station for July 4 and stayed a few more days to have a pool party at Honey's house. We had pizza, cupcake cake, piƱata and lots of fun. It was simple and easy! This was just the beginning.

Since Claire is visiting from Hawaii we invited her to stay with us for a few days. The kids absolutely loved having her over. Her and Max played video games together and everything else. Another bonus for Maddie's birthday was that we got to spend it with Tia "Momitza". I loved having my sister here, move back to TEXAS already!!!

Notice the princess in her Tiara!

Daddy brought her donuts with sprinkles for her birthday breakfast.

We went to see Monsters University on her actual birthday and they were pretty excited an upcoming Disney movie!
