Happy 2 Months to Max, Happy 2 Months to Max

Today was a big milestone for Max. He got to go see Dr. Nguyen for the 4th time. Max was measured, weighed and vaccinated! We were a little weary of visiting the Dr.'s office with all the fear of "swine flu". However, Daddy being the prudent man he is kept Max secure in his carrier and stroller with all the covers of course!

Being that Max was born 2 weeks early, he was little fellow! He was in the bottom 25% percentile at his two week appointment. What a difference in only 6 weeks! We got all the stats:
Weight - 12 lbs. 5 oz.
(75th % not too chubby yet, but that will probably change because he is GREAT eater)
Length - 23 3/4 in. (90th %, he is so long!!) Head circumfrence - 40.5 cm (50%)
Here are some pictures from the weekend. We had a great visit with Honey and Poppi. We fried some great fish, had some wine and ate tres leches cake, yum! We had so much fun we forgot to take pictures! Nevertheless we made great memories. We also had a quick visit from the abuelos on Sunday. We love having such loving family!!

STTN

I had to blog about this! Max has slept through the night (STTN) for the past two nights. He is sleeping from 10 p.m.-5:30 a.m. I never thought I'd be excited about waking up at 5:30!!! He wakes up happy and hungry. He is 8 weeks, he'll be 2 months this weekend, so more pics are coming soon.

We are absolutely loving this parent thing. I so enjoy my mornings with Max. Saturday and Sunday mornings are even better because we all get in bed till about 9 a.m., the whole family -- Mommy, Daddy, Max and Tyson.
I know video overload, but he just so darn cute! Just tilt your head a little to get the full effect. :)

Chubby Wubby

Today was such a busy day. Max and I are both pooped, but we wanted to give an update.I had my 8 week postpartum appointment. It went well and Max didn't make a peep while I was in with Dr. Cantu. She said I am recovering great and she loved seeing Max. She was impressed with how big he has gotten!

We visited Max's doctor today because he has had a yucky eye for a few days. The culprit...clogged tear duct. It looks terrible, but we got an ointment so hopefully it will clear up soon. Well, our little man is now it 11 lbs. 14 oz.!!! He gained 4 pounds in 6 weeks. Dr. Nguyen was really impressed. She encouraged me to keep nursing because Max is doing great!
Here is a picture of him in his precious planet bouncer. He loves to stare and smile at the lion. So cute! The boys love the Baby Bjorn carrier because we get to enjoy this beautiful weather.

All smiles

Our little man is already six weeks and is changing so much each day. This week we really noticed that he began to smile at us. Of course I never had a camera handy when he did this. Luckily his Tia Maritza helped me get some cute shots of his adorable smile.
Max is so animated! He loves to make tons of cooing noises and faces. One thing he does is lift one eye brow and make a really serious face. I hope to catch that on film one day too! We love our baby Max.

One month

These are a little late, but he is still 1 month. It was hard to get a good shot this morning because he was being fussy. Max has been doing great. He is sleeping in his crib now -- AND sleeping better. He usually wakes up once in the middle of the night, then again early in the morning. So he's growing up!!
