So today is Good Friday and we decided to go for a special lunch to one of our favorite restaurants, Shogun. It was one of the first places we ate when we first moved to Cypress. Its a nice Japanese hibachi grill, complete with a show and large flames. Max has been before, but today he was not having it. As soon as the chef came to our table he looked unsure and as soon as he saw the first flame he was over it. He decided he'd rather sit on the floor in the corner. And being the great planners that we are it was right around his nap time, so he was super fussy.

I figured he wasn't hurting himself or anyone else so we let him hang on the floor. As our food was cooking I look over and he fell asleep! Shawn thought I should pick him up, but I was like, let's just enjoy our lunch. So sue me! We ate, Maddie loved the rice. She didn't care one bit about the flames. All in all it was an interesting and delicious lunch. Happy Easter everyone!

Somebody got their first bling!

Today was the day. We decided to take Maddie in to pierce her ears. We wanted to do it before 1 year, so we took the plunge. She didn't cry at first, but the second earring made her scream. Nothing her paci couldn't take care of. She was all better and looking beautiful....tear!

My little fish

We got invited to join a group for a private swimming lesson. Since its kind of pricey, I'm not sure what I want to do, but I do want him to learn to swim. He threw a little fit when we first got there. I though, "awesome", my child is the one freaking out at this fun event. After a while though he started to get the hang of it and worked so well with Ms. Charlotte. He loved the toys and tried his best to try the skills. He also tried "blowing bubbles" in the water, which basically meant he put his face in the water. Not sure if we'll be doing this again, but he had a good time either way.

Maddie hung out in the shade. She crawled her way to the pool a a few times to see what all the fuss was about. Maybe she'll come in next time!

Madeline is 9 months

Maddie is doing wonderfully. Her appointment was pretty uneventful, after waiting nearly an hour. So annoying! She is 29 inches (90%), 19 lbs, 7oz (60%) and her precious little head is 43.2 cm (26th %). She is wearing 12 month clothing, size 3 diaper (but not for long). She still enjoys her baby food and now eats some finger foods. She still nurses, but she gets 2 bottles a day. She is typically a great sleeper. Such a sweet baby girl! This girl loves her momma! She gets pretty upset if I put her down the tears start to flow. Although I love holding and snuggling with her, it can get very frustrating for me.

Trying to escape

This post is a little late because I just haven't had much gumption to blog. I've worked out a bit, done some work around the house, participated in a consignment sale and doctors appointments. Both kids seem to have ben affected by the allergies. Hopefully zyrtec will do its job. On the allergy front, Max had some blood drawn on Thursday to do an allergy test. We hope to get some answers since it seems that he is very sensitive to foods and his surroundings. I'll update when I hear something.

These days...

My precious gets more beautiful by the day....how is that even possible?

She is so curious. During my photo shoots she wants my camera, phone (she has made several calls) and just being mobile. Hard to get a good shot!

My kiddos being sweet. Max loves to "love" on his sister. I used to ask him to do it, but now I'll catch him giving hugs, kisses, help with a bottle or paci. Still doesn't like sharing his toys, but that is the same with anyone.
