Look at this face :)

This smile makes waking up at 6 o'clock in the morning so much sweeter. Love the way she scrunches he left side of her nose when she smiles. So blessed and proud to have such an amazingly beautiful daughter. God is good!

HATS

These days Max has quite the personality. It is amazing to see how he is maturing daily. He never used to wear hats. But lately he enjoys puting them on, signing and saying hat.

Feeling better

Max is feeling better after about a week of having a stomach virus. He hardly ate and I think he may have lost a pound or two. We are so glad he is feeling better and has his appetite back! Maddie's stomach issues also seem to have gotten better. Looks like my diet can be a little more flexible from now on. She is a much happier baby and loves to smile. With them feeling better we've tried to go out more. I think it is so important for Max and I to get out of the house at least a few times a week. Madeline is usually good on our outings, but she doesn't like being in her car seat because she gets too hot. Can you blame her? Here are a few pictures from the past week.

Playing with the horses at Clay's Restaurant in Houston. This was a fun place to visit. The kids can feed horses, goats, etc. They also had a really nice cat and peacocks walking around. When Max saw the cat he said "roooaaar". Guess he thought it was a tiger. If only it were about 15 degrees cooler it would have been fabulous. We hope to come again in the Fall and have more fun with the animals.

Look what my mommy and Mema did to me!!

So, his bangs were getting a little too long. Not sure if it was me being cheap or not wanting to cut too much, but I asked my mom to trim his bangs. Lots of screaming and wiggling is all we got out of our precious boy. This is what he got: crooked bangs, but a big SMILE!

I think we might get it fixed this weekend, what do you think?

Madeline is 2 months!

It has been 2 months since our little "cosita bonita" made our family complete and we couldn't be happier! There is a saying that resonates with me and probably all mothers that I think of often...."the days are long, but the years are short"...that is so true. Madeline is so sweet and loves to smile when you talk to her. She loves the way I sing to her and the way her daddy rocks her. She gets a little chubbier everyday and I love it. She's a great eater and rarely spits up. She is wearing size 2 diapers and is already outgrowing 0-3 month clothing. She was given so may cute shoes, but she does not like having them on her feet. During the day she likes to nap in her swing and usually takes 2 long naps with a few catnaps in between. She sometimes sleeps in her crib or with me. :o) She loves to hold her head up and look at the world around her already. She is really a joy to be around and I get excited at the thought of having a daughter to play with, dress up, shop and just enjoy.

We blinked.... and it was September

It seems as though August came and went I missed a few updates on what is happening with Team Terral. Well Max continues to be up to typical toddler behaviors and is developing the cutest personality. He loves to laugh and make others chuckle too. He is very inquisitive an loves climbing and discovering new things(usually what he shouldn't)! Madeline is getting cuter and chunkier by the day. Her soft black hair is thinning out a bit, so we'll see if she loses it all like Max did. She still wakes once in the middle of the night around 3 or 4. Max is up by 7 so there is no sleeping in this time around. She continues to have a very sensitive stomach, so I am watching what I eat, which is not fun. I am trying to get into a workout routine to shed some of this baby(and then some) weight. I cannot wait until its a bit cooler and the walks will be more enjoyable for us all. Shawn had his annual trip to Hamilton for opening Dove season weekend so me and the kids packed up everything but the kitchen sink and went to my moms for a long weekend. I was pleasantly surprised that the kids slept relatively well and didn't wake each other up too much.It was great to catch up with friends and family. I took some pictures of some of our fun. We had lots of fun playdates planned for this week, but it looks like we will be rained out most of the week. Hopefully we can squeeze some good walks in somewhere in between. :o)

Playing with his cousins - he wasn't too crazy about sharing, but he eventually loosened up and played.

We even had a playdate with Isla, Tiffany's daughter.

Little Big Man

Sometimes I look at my son and I think, "boy is he big"! He is usually the same size if not bigger than some two year olds. On top of that comparing him to his teeny tiny sister I forget that my big boy is still little. He doesn't let me hold him and kiss him as much as I would like, but he such a sweetie. I am amazed at how much he changes everyday! We took him to the doctor, which he hated. He weighed 27 lbs and is 34 inches long. After we got all went to lunch to celebrate his 18 months!

He is adapting fairly well to this big brother thing. He likes to tickle Maddie's toes. He likes to try all her pacis, then he brings them to me. He doesn't like to hear her cry. He usually covers his ears or tries to give her a paci. Sometimes he wants to kiss her. He also loves to play with her "baby" toys. The other day I caught him rocking her bouncer and "reading" a book to her. I love my son!!!!!

He still loves anything on wheels (trains, trucks, cars, bikes, even planes). He is starting to pay with other kids when we have playdates. He is always testing the limits with what he can do. When he gets told no, he usually puffs up grunts or throws himself on the floor. I swear its like him telling me, "you're telling me NO" or "You talking to me?" Sometimes it makes me laugh inside, other times it gets under my skin. He is such a picky eater and sometimes he'll love something and the next time he won't touch it. He is quite aware of when he goes "potty" and doesn't really like having his diaper changed. He won't sit on a potty although we got him one anyway. The doctor doesn't recommend starting with that for a while. He wears a size 4 diaper and 24 month clothing. He really loves being outside and generally throws a tantrum when its time to come in. He LOVEs to dace and sing...evidence below
