It happened!

It happened! History was made last night and I couldn't be happier. I hope that Barack Obama has the strength to bring this divided country together. I have always been proud to be an American, but today I am beaming with pride!!

Opening Weekend

What is opening you ask. Well if you ask the wife of a hunting enthusiast, we'll tell it is the opening weekend for Deer season. Shawn left Friday to make it to the lease to get some good "hunting" in before our family time on Sunday. He saw a doe, but he is waiting for a buck, so no deer for him yet.

I on the other hand spend Friday handing out candy, and trying to control Tyson. He was not happy with the doorbell and scary kids at the door. Saturday I worked on my final portfolio for Sam Houston. After that I got on the road to visit with Ashlee and Angela. It had been a while since we had some girl time (Sebastian was bored though). Hopefully we can have some more time together over the holidays. Oh, and this is the first time that I noticed that everyone had the urge to touch my belly. I really don't have a problem with it, it is just strange. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Us before church, yes that is my belly showing.

Isabel was so good through the whole thing.

Claire's Birthday

This weekend we took a quick trip up to College Station to celebrate our goddaughter Claire's birthday. She had a blast on her birthday!

It was great to see my cousins and my BFF Angela. I miss hanging out with my girls!! BTW, Rosie is not pictured --she was too busy being the Hostess with the "Most"ess!

Oh, and here is a project Shawn & Justin have been working on. They built a 17 Mach II. Not sure what that means, but they are proud of it. And here is a cute picture of my niece Isabel.

Boy or Girl?

I know you dying to know! Thanks to all those who voted. The majority voted correctly.....IT'S A BOY! That is the first thing we saw. I am posting a picture of the evidence. I am sure HE will not be happy that I shared this with everyone in the future, but oh well. Shawn and I are so happy. We both had a feeling it was a boy early on. Now I get to go out and buy lots of blue!!! Thanks for letting us share. ~ Shawn & Cristina

20 weeks

So anxious for tomorrow. I feel bigger and bigger everyday. I must confess it is partly the baby and partly the fact that when I am stressed I EAT. And let me tell you I am STRESSED! December cannot come quickly enough.

Here is a picture Shawn took of me today...after a 12 hour day of work for both of us. Luckily, I love you guys enough to blog. You can even see our anxious dog Tyson. I will post again tomorrow...hopefully with news about the sex of the baby.

19 Weeks

This blog will be short and sweet. I am off today to study and relax before taking the university comp test. I hope I pass, because I do not want to miss more work. But you know me...I can't be home alone and study hard core. So I figured this was a great time to post pictures. I am 19 weeks(beginning of 5th month), almost halfway there!! We go for our big ultrasound in 9 days!! Here are some pics:

October is here!

Howdy! Time is flying by and I can't believe that in 20 days we will find out what we are having. If the baby cooperates!! Today I had another doctor's appointment. Things are going smoothly. I have gained 5 pounds, the baby's heart rate was 151 BPM. The only problem I am having is some swelling in my legs and Dr. Cantu thinks the pain in my leg is a varicose vain, not my ligaments. Isn't pregnancy swell? -- Literally!

Shawn stays busy. This morning before wok we had the conversation about "what we are having". I think we are both just hoping to have a healthy and happy baby -- no matter the sex. One question we get all the time is if we have picked names. The answer is no! We want to wait to see what it will be first, then we'll start thinking of names.
